Bobby Dawson Holder's Obituary
Bobby Dawson Holder, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in Pasadena, Texas, at the age of 96.
Born on July 6, 1929, in Beasley, Texas, Bobby was the cherished son of Autry and Allie Holder. He married Barbara Stewart on March 20, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Navy from September 25, 1950, to 1954, as part of Fleet Aircraft Service Squadron 119. After his military service, he dedicated 42 years to his professional career—19 years with Signal Oil & Gas and 23 years with Goodyear Chemical.
A man of quiet strength and deep passions, Bobby found joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time in nature. His warmth and generosity extended far beyond family ties; he built lasting friendships and treated many as family.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie Holder and daughter-in-law Teresa Holder, along with several nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends who held a special place in his heart. Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Holder; his parents, Autry and Allie Holder; his sister, Betty Horton; and brother-in-law, Col. Charles Horton.
