Mr. Bob Mayes' Obituary
Bob Mayes, 72, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 following a brief battle with Leukemia. Bob was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, an avid fisherman and ardent Astro's fan. He was the devoted husband of Dottye for 45 years, loving father to Craig Mayes and Kristy Scobee and was the proud grandfather of Dutch Logan Scobee. Also surviving is his brother Shannon Roberson and friends too numerous to count. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at San Jacinto Memorial Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Calvin Durham officiating. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5005 Mitchelldale # 115, Houston,TX 77092-7230 as a way of honoring Bob's legacy.
