Mrs. Blanche Elaine McClanahan's Obituary
Blanche Elaine Clark McClanahan, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on March 3, 2016, after living a long and fulfilling life. Blanche was born on February 22, 1927, in Houston, Texas, to Joseph and Mildred Clark. After graduating from high school, Blanche worked as a telephone operator and postal clerk. Blanche met Paul McClanahan, the love of her life, at a Labor Day picnic, and they were married a few months later on November 7, 1953. Blanche was a stay-at-home wife and mother for many years before returning to work at the Post Office, from which she retired in 1977. Once Paul retired in 1983, he and Blanche enjoyed many years of traveling the country in a motor home as members of the Good Sam's Camping Club. Blanche was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church, where she was a faithful participant in the St. Jude's Dudes.
Blanche is survived by daughters Paula McClanahan, Jeanne McClanahan, and Sue Moreau and husband Mark; grandchildren Jennifer Leber and husband Karl, Greg McClanahan, Paul Leber, Lance Moreau and wife Sara, and Ryan Moreau and wife Angela; great-grandchildren Kyler Moreau, Kasey Moreau, and Keaton Moreau; and numerous nieces and nephews. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Paul McClanahan, parents Joseph and Mildred Clark, and siblings Agnes Clark Walker, Joseph Clark, George Clark, and James Richard Clark.
