Betty L. Mosley's Obituary
Betty Lou Mosley, aged 81, of Channelview, Texas, passed away on October 12th, 2023, in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on December 29th, 1941, to Clarence and Essie Mae Grumbles in San Saba, Texas.
Betty's life was a beautiful journey filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She married the love of her life, Edwin Mosley, on May 28th, 1960, in Odessa, Texas, and their bond remained unbreakable throughout the years.
For 23 years, Betty devoted her time and dedication as a payroll clerk for Transocean Drilling, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment to her job. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member of her community. Betty's kind heart and sense of civic duty led her to become a member of the Channelview Lions Club, a Girl Scout Leader, and an active member of the PTA for many years. She always found joy in helping others and making her community a better place.
Betty enjoyed dancing, singing, hunting, fishing, traveling, and tending to her beautiful flower garden. Her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her loving spouse, Edwin Mosley of Channelview, Texas, her daughter, Pamela Straight, and husband Norman Straight of Brownsville, Texas, her son, Tracy Mosley, and wife Anne Mosley of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Rowe, and husband Mike Rowe of Odessa, Texas, and Nancy Penny and husband Bob Penny in Oklahoma. Betty leaves behind one cherished grandson, Brandon Travis Kidd, a Tech Sergeant in the US Air Force, whose accomplishments she followed with immense pride.
Betty was preceded in death by her brother, C.L. Grumbles of Odessa, Texas.
Betty's warm smile, unwavering love, and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
