Ms. Betty Elizabeth Huggins' Obituary
Betty Huggins born, September 30, 1926 in Galveston, Texas. Passed away June 16, 2007 in Houston, Texas at the age of 80 years.
She was born to Robert and Bernice McDonald.
Betty had many past times she loved. She had made several afghans from crocheting as she sat peaceful in her chair. She also loved reading books and especially the ones by her favorite author, Danielle Steel. She would wonder outside to her garden when she thought she needed a fresh breath of air. Betty had a one of a kind heart. It was strong but weak at the same time. She would do anything for her children or grandchildren. She wanted to spend as much time with her family as possible. Her weakness showed when time starting slowing down for her. She was very stubborn and never asked for any help as she thought she might be intruding on someone's life. She was very hard headed and did not want anyone to go out of their way to do something for her, as she thought she was being selfish. Betty was a very private person, but that did not fool anyone she worried about everything. Her worrysome led her to the love and compassion she bestowed on everyone. When she was worrying is when her love came out the most.
For over 50 years she lived in the same house in Channelview, Texas. That is were she had her best and worst moments. She was truely a one of a kind mom. She is preceded in death by husband Raymond Huggins, parents; Robert and Bernice McDonald, son; Robert Huggins, grandchidlren; Brandon and Brittany Huggins, brothers; Genie McDonald, Robert McDonald, and sister; Barbara Bettison.
She is survived by children, sons; Roger and wife Kathy Huggins, Ronnie and wife Elizabeth Huggins and daughter Debbie Walker, grandchildren; Lauren Huggins, Cameron Walker, Kristopher Huggins, Wesley Huggins and Melissa Huggins, and family dog Midnight.
