Will miss Ben very much. Great memories of him and his family. Love to all of you.
Chief Wilcher was my Shift Captain when I was hired at the West University Fire Department in 1973. He taught me well and we developed mutual respect. He believed in me as a Firefighter and as a person. He influenced me in my career development and prepared me to advance in the Department. I will always be grateful to him for the trust and faith that he had in me which, without a doubt, made me a better person. Rest in Peace, Chief. You will always be remembered.
