Basil C Eastmond's Obituary
Basil C. Eastmond, 77, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025. Born on September 23, 1947, in Barbados to Euretta Simms and Barry Brown, Basil's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and a touch of adventure.
A skilled A/C mechanic for 35 years, Basil had a knack for breathing new life into broken units, much like he did with the hearts of those around him. His hands were always busy, whether fixing an air conditioner or sharing a hearty laugh with friends and family. Basil's love for the racetrack was well-known, and he cherished those occasional trips where he could feel the thrill of the race.
Basil's legacy lives on through his ex-wife Cyrilene Eastmond, his ex-partner Wanda Taylor, and his beloved children: Yolanda Eastmond of Brooklyn, New York; Belynnda Taylor, Kim Marin, and Maria Hargrove, all of Houston, Texas; and Frankie Buggs Jr. of Baytown, Texas. He is also survived by his sister Angela Jackson, 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Preceded in passing by his mother Euretta Eastmond-Sims, sister Coral Eastmond, and brother Keith Eastmond, Basil's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. His warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit will be dearly missed.
Rest in peace, Basil. Your legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire us all.
