Barbara Ruth Holder's Obituary
Barbara Ruth Holder, 92, of Houston, Texas passed away March 12, 2023, in Baytown, Texas.
She was born April 14, 1930, to Henry Alton (Pete) and Grace Stewart in Springer, Oklahoma.
She married Bobby D. Holder on March 20, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
She worked as a Switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell, and later as a Cafeteria Manager for 25 years at Galena Park ISD.
She was a member of North Channel First Baptist Church, and she taught Sunday school for many years.
She enjoyed being around and visiting with her family. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing.
She is survived by her husband Bobby D. Holder of Houston, Texas; her son, Ronnie (Roho) Holder and wife Teresa Holder, Houston, Texas. Her sister; Bernice Ellis of Ardmore, Oklahoma, her brothers; Ira Gene (Hotshot) Stewart of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Paul Stewart and wife Barbara Stewart of Frisco, Texas. She had many nephews, nieces and cousins that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Henry Alton (Pete) and Grace Stewart, brothers; Joe Stewart and Finis Stewart and sister; Marquitta Stewart.
