She was born to William and Mary Bassett in Houston, Texas. She leaves behind to her brother William R. Bassett II and his wife Jeanie Bassett and her grandson Timothy Fougeron.
She was proceeded in death by her daughter, Michelle Fougeron (Tim Fougeron), her sister Jackie Lynn Brumfield, her brother-in-law Richard Brumfield and her parents William and Mary Bassett.
