My brother in law was a wonderful man. He always put aside his needs to help others. I have wonderful memories of him. I remember when I was around 12, I would help him decorate cakes because he would give me the extra frosting so that I could eat it with a banana. He caught me walking around the table one day with a bouquet and a veil on my head, at one of the banquet halls that he had decorated and just giggled. My husband remembers that when he had just arrived to the US from Mexico, he met Arturo at church and the first day that he met Arturo, Arturo offered my husband his car so that my husband could get around LA and look for a job. The first thing that came to my husband's mind was, "How could he loan me his car if he just met me?", this is the kind of person Arturo was, and not only that, my husband asked him how he was going to get to work and Arturo told him that he would walk and not to worry. My heart aches for the loss of this wonderful angel that God blessed us with, I learned a lot from him. I wish I was near by so I could say my good bye's but only God knows why I was unable to make it to his celebration of life. Arturo will be forever in our hearts! I only pray now that God will give strength to my sister and her children during this very difficult time. We love you! Sincerely, Macias Palomares family.
