Annie Mae Sumbera Cernoch's Obituary
Annie Mae Sumbera Cernoch, 95, of Channelview, TX was born in Winters, Texas on May 12, 1923 and went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Annie Mae was the eldest of seven children born to Freeder Mae Hord and William Bennett Reeves. On June 3, 1946 she was married Jim Fred Sumbera in Ballinger, Texas.
Annie Mae was a parishioner of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Channelview, TX. In her spare time, she loved being involved in the Polka Club and loved to sew and enjoyed her polka and waltz.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jim F. Sumbera and second husband, Willie Cernoch; father, William Reeves; mother, Freeder Hord Reeves; brothers, Charles Reeves, Bill Reeves, Fred Reeves; and sister, Winsey Reeves Bathome. Annie Mae is survived by her sons, William Sumbera, Dennis Sumbera, Jimmy Sumbera; stepdaughter, Teresa Cernoch Parker; grandchildren, Jimmy Don Sumbera, Tammy Rowe, Janice Sumbera, Randall Sumbera, Curtis Sumbera; and her seven great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at San Jacinto Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00pm, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at St. Andrews Catholic Church at 11:00am. A funeral procession will accompany family and friends to her graveside service at San Jacinto Memorial Park. The family invites all attendees to join them for a reception following services at St. Andrews Catholic Church in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the Sumbera Cernoch Family requests that a donation be made is Annie Mae's honor to the Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center, South Texas Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
