We joyfully celebrate the life of Allen L. Simpson, who passed away on February 12th, 2025, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on November 10th, 1942, in Houston, Texas, Allen lived a vibrant and fulfilling life filled with love, service, and passion.
Son of Jerry Simpson and Margaret McWhorter, Allen's journey was marked by dedication and enthusiasm. He proudly served in the Army for 2 years, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his country. Following his military service, Allen devoted another 24 years to Arco Refinery, contributing greatly to his community.
On May 27th, 1977, Allen married his beloved wife, Judy Leissner, in Houston, Texas. Together, they built a life rich with shared interests and joyful moments.
Allen's passion for classic cars and antiques was well known among family and friends. As a member of the Bayshore Fine Rides Car Club, he spent countless hours celebrating his love for vintage automobiles. His enthusiasm extended to his community involvement with Sterling Wood Church, where he was a devoted member for 40 years.
Allen is survived by his loving wife Judy Simpson. His daughter Paula Moorhaj and husband Tim Moorhaj. His son Troy Simpson and wife Brooke Simpson. His 4 grandchildren Callen, Emma, Kayla, and Kaden.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry Kelly Simpson and Margaret Lou McWhorter. His brothers Billy Simpson, Jerry Kelly Simpson, Bobby Simpson. His sister Betty Lou Jamison.
Allen's legacy is one of warmth, dedication, and joy. His life touched many, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him. In honor of his generous spirit and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wounded Warriors, reflecting his lifelong support for fellow servicemen and women.
