Alice Darlene Warrington's Obituary
Alice Darlene Warrington, age 82, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Kingwood, Texas. She was born on Friday, January 17, 1941, in Carman, Illinois. Alice was the second of 4 children born to Clyde and Evelyn (Maxine) Scott. She had two brothers, Jimmy, and Don, and 1 sister, Elizabeth. Her Dad, Clyde, worked on the pipeline and they moved quite a bit during the years Alice was in school. In the 1950’s they settled in the Cy-Fair area in Houston, and she graduated from Austin High School in 1959. Alice and Robert loved country and western dance and met at Club 66’ in Houston. One of her favorite singers was Conway Twitty. She married the love of her life Robert Warrington on July 12, 1964, at Cloverleaf Methodist Church. They had three daughters, Robin, Ronda, and Lorie. They built a house in North Shore and stayed there for over 55 years until Robert passed. Alice then moved to Landon Ridge Assisted Living in Kingwood where she remained until passing. The caregivers loved her at the facility, and they always said how much they enjoyed seeing and talking with her. Her favorite activities included weekly bingo, and happy hour on Fridays where they would have someone play music for the residents. During this time, she would clap and sing along to her favorite songs.
Alice devoted her life to caring for her husband and her three daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed home décor and crafting as well as gardening, arranging flowers, making wreaths, and watching her favorite TV show, Martha Stewart.
Alice is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert Warrington, her parents, Clyde, and Evelyn (Maxine) Scott, her brothers, Jimmy Scott, Don Scott, sister, Elizabeth Scott, and son-in-law Johnny DeMoss.
Alice is survived by her three loving daughters, Robin DeMoss, Ronda Calhoun (Mike), and Lorie Mathew (Sunil); her grandchildren, Alexa Radke (Casey) and Taylor DeMoss and other loving relatives and friends.
In Lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead donate to give.michaeljfox.org for Parkinson Disease research or an animal charity of your choice.
