Mrs. Alice A. Andrus' Obituary
Alice A. Andrus, 91, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009 in Houston. Mrs. Andrus was born to Ernest and Daisy Mitchell in Ville Platte, LA on September 1, 1918. She is survived by her children Gaye Andrus, Helen Thayer, John L. Andrus, Jr., and Faye Scarbrough; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Andrus, Sr. and a son Morrell Andrus. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Amanda McDonald and Ernest Howard officiating. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
