Albert Bergin's Obituary
Albert Bergin was born to Thomas Bergin and Sarah Carr Bergin on December 5, 1928, in Paulding, MS. He served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War. Once discharged, he met Mary Jo Hale in Houston and married in 1952. He is survived by his 5 children, Dan Bergin (spouse Patty), Neal Bergin (spouse Dorothy), Ellise Bergin, Karen Leatherwood(spouse Lonnie), and Linda Palm(spouse Ken). All of whom survive him along with his grandchildren; Troy Leatherwood, Kari Palm Jones(spouse Dan), Brandon Leatherwood(spouse Jacqulyn), Allison Bergin, Dustin Palm, Ryan Palm, Sarah Casper and Mary Bergin. Great grandchildren; Lonnie Leatherwood, Sara Leatherwood, Sean Leatherwood, Allen Jones, Cyniah Drake, and Hayden Leatherwood.
The second youngest of 11 children he is predeceased by his siblings; Tim, Steve, Tom, Katherine, Margie, Monica, Zita, Pauline, and Matilda. He is survived by his younger sister Agnus. He was uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
He trained as a barber at Texas A&M University in College Station and worked at the University for several years. He opened his own barber shop in the Pasadena area where he was a barber for 40 plus years. His family loves him dearly and he will be greatly missed.
