I just found out about Aida today. I am so sorry that I did not get to see her before she passed. We worked together at Kroger on Woodforest Blvd. in Houston, TX. I was the cake decorator. She was the lady whom came in and wrapped and put out the bread and rolls and also helped wait on customers. She was such a fun person to be around; always got a kick out of her! I recall one time she accidently lost a gold tennis bracelet in a package of rolls! I think someone brought it back. That was crazy! I loved the way she talked and her accent. She was so energetic and could work circles around some of the younger workers we had! I left that store in 1993 as I got promoted, and she was so kind to me and wanted to go with me so I could be her boss. I don't think I ever saw her again as I was so busy working and was transferred to three other stores before my family and I got moved to Spring. I am sure her family misses her so much, and I am grateful I was able to view the wonderful video of pictures of her. She looked so good and aged so well. I could only hope to be as healthful and full of spunk like she was at that age!
God Bless you all, and I will charish her memory!
