Left to mourn her passing is her son Aaron Ivey, daughters Melva Beamon, Carol, Marice and JoAnna Ivey, daughter in law Joy Odom Ivey, granddaughters Lori Ivey Battaglia (Rob), Suzanne Ivey Magness (Jeremy) and grandsons Shawn Ivey Beamon, Derek Ivey (Karen) and Seth Ivey, great grandsons Dillion (Taylor) and Donald Carl Beamon III (Trey), Shawn Beamon II and Christian Magness, and great granddaughters Kira Lawson (Tim) , Karissa Wilke (Joe), Alexis Beamon, and Kayden Ivey, great-great grandsons Julian and Gannon Lawson and Noah Wilke, and great- great granddaughter Avery Beamon, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She had a brilliant memory, sharp mind and was strong willed. She was talented and played musical instruments by ear. She was the ultimate homemaker, an excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed collecting recipes. She was an athlete in her youth. She was a caring and compassionate listener. She made wise decisions, gave good advice and had great taste that many people admired. She was a walking calendar, telephone directory, and personal address book. She was well read, enjoyed history and trivia. She was a virtuous, hard-working and humble member of the Greatest Generation. She was beautiful inside and out. She was known by everyone for her righteousness, thoughtfulness, kindness, her sweet, loving, self-sacrificing , nurturing and generous nature. She would give someone the shirt off her back or her last dime. She did so much for so many. She lived for Christ and her family; loved and was supportive of her family and friends. She was an example of a Godly wife, Mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved the simple things in life. Time with her family is what she cherished the most. She was not as interested in material things as she cared more about where one might spend their eternity. She had a strong Christian faith and witnessed to family and friends about salvation, encouraged everyone to have a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, and wanted them to live for Christ so they could be assured they would spend eternity in Heaven. She lived what she preached. To know her was to love her. Her children thank God for a loving home and entrusting them in her care. Her children realize what a blessing it was that God granted them this precious, most “perfect” Mother.
