Mary Nell McCullough Born in Corsicana, TX on July 14, 1949 Passed away December 28, 2019 Mary Nell McCullough, 70, of Highlands, TX passed away peacefully on December 28th with many loved ones near after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents J.T. and Minnie Lou Cooper, mother and father in law Martin Young and Kathy McCullough, brother Jackie Cooper, sister in law Billie Cooper and brother in law Bruce Binder. Survivors include her husband of 49 years Coy William McCullough, daughter Toni Zink and husband John, Granddaughter Courtney Jimenez and husband Mike, Granddaughter Taylor Zink and Bailey Preddy, Grandson Ryan Sylvia and wife Melissa, great grandchildren Drake and Noah Sylvia and baby girl Hayden Marie Jimenez (on the way), siblings Pat McCarroll and husband Jerry, Jimmie Chaffin and husband Don, Dickie Cooper, brother in law David McCullough and wife Jeannie, sister in law Patricia Binder and many other loving relatives, nieces, nephews and friends that became known as family too. Notably the Ramirez family – Hector, Carla, Baylee, Nora and cousin Doris Ashley and husband R.C. Mary was a loving Wife, Mom and Maw Maw. She enjoyed life and never stopped dancing. Some of her favorite things to do included shopping for others to find their treasures, cheer and support her grandkids, attend car shows, collect Elvis memorabilia and play the slots at the casinos. She truly loved to help others and was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Baytown. Mary had a big, bold, personality and was loved by everyone she met. Her laugh was contagious. She was the life of the party and was never afraid to live and let go! Her vivacious spirit will be missed here on earth. Pall bearers – Dickie Cooper, Jr., Keith Gregory, Tre Keene, Tommy McCarroll, James McCarroll, Ryan Sylvia and honorary pall bearer Mike Jimenez. God Saw You God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you and whispered come to me. With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away, And though we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
