Jose J. Moncivais

Jose Jesus Moncivais, 72, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 peacefully at his sister’s home after batlling 10 years of cancer. Born in Sebastian, Texas, he was the son of Jesus Moncivais and Maria Celia Crispin. He graduated highschool in Mexico and went on to study accounting. He participated in the Mexican 1968 Olympics representing Jalapa, Veracruz for Track and also did some boxing and received the Golden Gloves in Reynosa, Tam. Mx. In 1968. Jose worked for many years in the construction field and in his ladder years had his own business: Moncivais Construction. (M&M Construction) Jose was an active member of First Baptist Church of Galena Park, Texas. He was the Spanish Men’s Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed all of the church activities and was busy with the Lord’s work. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his hard working spirit, his service to the Lord and his love for his family. Jose is survived by his children: Maribel, Perla, Ana, Linda, Jesus Jr., Celia, Joshua and Nessim and his brothers: Hector Moncivais, Eleazar Moncivais, Tomas Balderas and Chepo Balderas and his sisters: Maria Ana De la Vina, Guadalupe Gonzalez and Marta Conde. He was preceeded in death by his parents and his youngest son Jose Moncivais Jr.
