Felix G. Saldivar, 95, was born October 4th. 1926, on the King Ranch, Kingsville, Texas. (a Kiñeno). He passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, April 26th, 2022. Felix served in World War II as a member of the greatest generation as a Medic in both European and Asian Theaters. Upon returning to the U.S., he began to work for the Union Pacifica Railroad until his retirement. He enjoyed serving his church, his community, and his neighbors with civic pride. Felix was preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria Socorro Saldivar: his parents, Hermina, and Pedro Saldivar; his sister, Patsy; and brothers Patricio, Luis, Jesse, and Philemon. He is survived by his daughters Santa S. Gonzales (Rey), and Barbara Salinas; son Felix, Jr.; granddaughters Dey Gonzalez-Lopez, Amanda Salinas, and Ashley (Pedro) Robles; great grandchildren Sebastian, Lorenzo, and Valentina Lopez and Jeovany and Julissa Robles; brother Ramon. He also leaves many favorite nieces and nephews all who will continue to cherish on his loving memories. First and always a family man, a hard worker. Trusted by family and friends as a person they could rely on to be there for them. A man who believed in God and family and tried to live by Gods Laws. He said his prayers every night. He will be missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2nd, 2022, 5 to 8 PM, at San Jacinto Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, at 10 AM at St. Phillip de Jesus Catholic Church. Burial to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
