Pawpaw,

I have struggled with writing this for several days, because every word written shatters my already broken heart. Words can never describe how much I will miss you. Fishing in our spot with the biggest fish will never be the same. Each time I stand at that pond, there will forever be a void and emptiness without you there next to me doing our victory dance. Debby and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Garcia was a wonderful man, always very kind to everyone. He loved doing for his family, especially those grandkids. I don’t believe I ever saw him get mad or raise his voice. Anytime you came around he always made you feel welcome. I’m so sorry I will not be able to attend, but my prayers are with the family.

I selfishly wish that you were still here with us, though I know it was your time to be with God. You were such an incredible example to everyone, and you are truly going to be missed. You and Grandma showed us all what true love looks like. Your smile and laugh are what lightened up the room. I’m going to miss you so much! It feels so weird without my best friend. Pawpaw to say that I am lucky to be one of your grandchildren is an understatement. It is a blessing that I am truly grateful for and will be for the rest of my life. I will always wish we had more time together, more pictures together but you made my childhood amazing and I will cherish those memories forever. You were always there to support and listen to me no matter what. The fact that you’re no longer here will always cause me pain but you’re forever in my heart until we meet again.
