David was morethan an uncle. He was a real brother and a young father! He carried me in his arms many times and dried away tears of hurt on his strong shoulders and lap. He sang songs to me, bought me many gifts, told me I was "beautiful" just like my name and I was his girl...then he bought Yolanda home and it was over. I was so Happy for him. I could see he truly was "in LOVE" with Yolanda. He broke the news to me that he had a special girl now. I had to grow up as he was leaving and I would have to remember all the things he taught me. He told me he would always be there and HE WAS...when everyone else wasn't he was there to remind me who I was and where I needed to keep headed and that I was a Briones and a Gonzales and to only "keep the best of both" and I would be fine as he did...He lived his life as he said and kept the "best of both" and passed it on down the ladder like it was suppose to be!
I am missing you so muc but I know that you are now resting in peace in a better life in the house of our Lord....Love you David
Uncle David, I know you are in a better place. But it still saddens me that you are gone, you are my closest uncle and have always been there for me. Bethany and Ethan love you, we have so many great memories together. Although you are gone your memories will forever live in my heart.
