We understand the process and decisions involved in making funeral and cemetery arrangements while coping with the loss of a family member can be stressful and confusing.
Our experienced and professional team is always at hand to assist you and take away some of the stress. We encourage you to visit our location and meet with our staff for any preplanning that you may desire.
As part of our commitment to exceeding your expectations, you will have a team of two persons, a Licensed Funeral Director and a Family Service Professional, dedicated to serving your family. The Funeral Director will be in charge of the arrangement conference and the Service Professional will be your primary contact for anything you may need during and after the services are completed.
Our team will guide you through every little detail and ensure that your every need is met in the most professional, caring and personal manner.
Our Valued Staff
Matthew K Godfrey, General Manager
Matthew K. Godfrey is a Native Houstonian and resides in the Houston Heights Area. Matthew graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, where he earned his Associate of Applied Science. Matthew also has experience as a Certified Crematory Operator. As a funeral service provider, Matthew strives to provide caring, personalized funerals with empathy. He is committed to serving each family with the highest level of dignity and respect.
In the spirit of volunteerism, Matthew has held numerous positions for various charities and community organizations. He served as Chairman of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School annual gala and assisted with other fundraisers and events at his daughters school. Matthew is the Community Communication Coordinator for his daughters Girl Scout Troop.
Matthew has been married for 14 years and has one daughter. He enjoys cooking, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Susie Zuniga, Sales Manager
Susie Zuniga joined San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home October 2008. Susie has been in the funeral industry since May 1995. She started as a Community Service Counselor and shortly after was promoted to Community Service Manager, Prospecting Manager, Sales Manager for three of the largest cemeteries in Houston and for the last 8 years Sales Manager here at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Susie was asked what she likes about her career and she said, “Helping families is the biggest reward. It is a true feeling guiding families in one of the worst days of their lives. Many years ago I was asked if I wanted to do something different and my answer is always and will be no, I just love what I do.” In her off time she loves to spend time with her beautiful children and grandchildren and helping her big family and enjoying being a leader at Church.
Patricia Hardin, Combo Location Office Manager
Patricia Hardin who is known as Trish is the Office Manager and joined the San Jacinto Family 14 ½ years ago as a part time assistant, until she was hired full time as an administrative clerk in the Interment/ Records Department after working part time for 3 months. After 10 years Patricia took time off, so that she could take care of a sick family member, then returned back to the Houston Market a year later. Since then has earned several awards throughout her Career for being a strong and dedicated administrative assistant.
Trish and her husband have been married for 18 years and have 3 children, Clayton, Kyndel and Colby and the newest edition to the family is their first grand baby named Falon.
Trish and her husband Tony enjoy spending time in East Texas on the families Estate relaxing in the country scenery, fishing, traveling, taking cruises and motorcycle riding on their Harley and spending time with their grand baby.
Bernardino Torres, Superintendent
Bernardino Torres is Superintendent at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home. He has proudly served in the funeral business since 1981. His dedication and compassion to helping families in need is evident. “I am willing to go above and beyond to help anyone who has suffered a loss.”
Michael Leigh Garcia, Funeral Director
Michael Leigh Garcia is a graduate of Commonwealth Institute of Mortuary Science and has been in the funeral industry since 2012. Michael joined the San Jacinto team in January of 2015 and has used his decade of experience in customer service to help his families make every funeral as custom a service as possible. Like all of the San Jacinto team Michael strives to ensure all families are treated with the best service possible.
Cynthia Warren, Funeral Director
Cynthia Warren grew up in the East Houston, Channelview Area working over twelve years in customer service. With the determination to help and serve her community, Cynthia graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2015 with Honors and Distinction. While in school, her deep dedication to serve families was recognized and honored with the R.L. Waltrip Chairman Award and the Moen and McEnany Academic Achievement Award at Commonwealth Institute. Cynthia is a new addition to the San Jacinto family, and along with our staff, is empathically and fully committed to treating each family as her own.
Angie Ojeda, Family Service Counselor
Angie Ojeda has been a Family Service Counselor for San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home for 14 years. Angie takes great pride in being able to serve families. Either by assisting them with their pre-arrangement’s or at one of their most difficult times of losing a loved one. Angie treats each family that she has the pleasure of helping like if they were her own family member.
Angie has been married for over 36 years, has two children and two grandchildren.
During her time off, she likes to travel, watch movies, shopping and spoiling her grandchildren.
Yaritiza Garza, Family Service Counselor
Yaritza (Yari) Garza has recently started her career working at San Jacinto. After the recent loss of 2 family members she decided to start a career helping families during their most difficult time of need. She takes pride in being able to serve families. During her time off, Yari enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Carla Flores, Receptionist
Carla Flores joined San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home in 2016. She likes giving great service to our families. Carla is currently attending school to become a realtor. she likes to spend time with her family.
Samatha L Cantu, Clerical & Administration Specialist
Samantha Cantu joined San Jacinto Funeral Home & Memorial Park 6 months ago and is a Clerical & Administrative Specialist. In her off time, Samantha coaches Boxing and enjoys spending time with her family.
Matthew Pinero, Clerical & Administration Specialist
Matthew-Ryan Pinero is a funeral assistant at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home. He is currently pursuing a higher education and hoping to go to med school, thanks to the job opportunity presented to him at San Jacinto.

Joined our South Park family 3 months ago. She is a mother of a 4yr old boy that keeps her on her toes, She loves to BBQ on the weekends with her family and her 5 dogs

Rosa G Guardiola, Housekeeper
Rosa G. Guardiola AKA Mireya is one of San Jacinto’s Housekeepers. Originally from Mexico, Mireya has called Houston home for the past two decades. She received her Primary Teaching degree from the Centro de Estudios Universitarios in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Mireya enjoys working on projects around the home and spending time with her two grandchildren.
Jose Rocha, Cemetery Caretaker
Jose Rocha is one of the cemetery grounds keepers and has been with San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home since 1990. Originally from Guanajuato Mexico and now resides in Houston, Texas since 1978. When asked what attracted Jose to this field, he said, “the satisfaction in keeping the park looking beautiful.” In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family.
Daniel Blanco, Cemetery Caretaker
Daniel Blanco is one of the San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home grounds keepers and joined the San Jacinto family a few months ago. Daniel takes great pride in his work. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family.
Alberto Ureta, Cemetery Caretaker
Alberto has been in the cemetery industry for 20 years. When we asked what attracted Alberto to this field, he said, “I have a family background in this profession.” Alberto enjoys working outside and helping people. On his free time, Alberto spends quality time with his family.
